Searching around for skin tag remedies, I decided to trust the reviews of those who had purchased similar products on Amazon. Dermatend had received the most overall praise, so I decided to try it, despite it's high price. The instructions call to:
-Scratch or poke the mole/tag/blemish with the provided tools, as Dermatend must penetrate in order to work
-Apply for 30-45 minutes, with 5-10 minutes of burning to tell you that it is working
Despite protecting surrounding skin, Dermatend has left irritation and "burn" marks. The offending skin tags have seen no positive results, instead being left with irritation and slight inflammation. Dermatend is supposed to come out as a paste, and they say to rub the tube to create one if it is runny. However, good luck creating a paste after your 1st use. To make matters even worse, the "healing balm" is nothing more than a microscopic tube of common Vaseline.
Dermatend is a product that mimicks every other at home remedy: high priced and worthless. Tie off offending skin tags with string and let them fall off, cut them, or see a doctor. This product truly isn't worth the time, money, or irritation that it will leave you or your skin.

I got my Dermatend on Saturday, July 10th, and followed the instructions included exactly. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. And I thought that if I spent that kind of money, I'm not giving up that easily, so I went online, and found instructions that differed slightly, and tried it again Sunday in the different way.
This time, it stung. Not a horrible sting, more of an itchy annoyance than anything. It took 3 applications before it scabbed (Sunday, Monday night, and then Tuesday night, but Wednesday the 14th I had a scab). The scab is NOT a typical scab, it was darker and tighter and uncomfortable. There was a bright red ring around the scab as well, but they say that's normal. It's hard to explain. Anyhow, the scab fell off today, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a scar. It isn't just reddish and "new skin" like they say. I have a small hole where the mole was. I did not pick at it, I did not play with it, I left it alone the whole time. So, I'll give it a while and see if it fills in. Either way, this small hole is better than the mole.
So, yes, it will work. But get the instructions online and expect it to take a few applications. Expect it to be ugly, and expect to itch. Also, go in to this expecting a small scar. I'm happy with the result either way, but I'll be happier if this hole fills in.

The product did removed some of my moles, a couple of them reappeared so I had to treat them again.It's been a month since my scabs have fallen off and I still had these huge red/purple holes in my skin which are 100% uglier than my little moles.
So it's up to you buyers what do you prefer a mole or a scar?

I received Dermatend faster than promised and was satisfied with the condition of the product. I have several moles and skin tags that I want to remove without going to the doctors. I started on two skin tags that were bothering me because they were located under my breast where my bra was rubbing. It took about a week for the first one to fall off and two weeks for the second. The second was stubborn and was larger. Both spots are red but healing nicely. It is a little uncomfortable while the product is working but is worth it. I am getting ready to start Dermatend on some of my other moles soon and have faith they will come off faster.
